Included at no cost
Free legal services
For each new matter, your membership covers a range of everyday legal needs at no additional charge.
- An initial phone or face-to-face conference with an attorney for each new legal matter
- Review of legal documents up to six pages in length
- A free simple will to help you plan ahead
- A free living will so your wishes are on record
- Assistance with small claims matters
- Help understanding and accessing government program benefits
- Attorney letters and phone calls made on your behalf
Deep discounts
Reduced flat-fee services
When a matter goes beyond what's included, members get deep discounts on common flat-fee legal services, including:
- Traffic ticket defense
- Legal name change
- Simple will with a minor's trust
- Chapter 7 bankruptcy
- Non-support matters
- Simple divorce
- Regular incorporation
- Real estate closings
Everything else
Low hourly & contingency rates
For matters billed by the hour or taken on contingency, members receive preferred rates:
Hourly matters
Members pay $125 per hour, or 40% off the attorney’s normal hourly rate, whichever is greater.
Contingency matters
Contingency cases are handled at a 10% reduction of the state statutory rateor the attorney’s usual rate, whichever is lower.
